1 Backpack Day backpack
Overnight backpack with sleeping bag compartment. Adjustable exterior frame packs for younger Scouts.
2 Sleeping Bag Below 30F (0F preferred for snow camp), less than 4 lbs.
3 Sleeping Pad Light weight, small and waterproof but durable to cushion sleeping bag.
e.g. Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite, Pacific Outdoor Equipment Insul Mat Max-Lite 1.0.
4 Tent 2-3 persons. Light weight and 3-season tent (less than 6 lb),
e.g. REI Half Dome 2 or Eureka Zeus 2 EXO.
5 Ground Cloth Tent Footprint to cover the ground under the tent.
6 Mess Kit & Eating Utensils Cooking pots & pans.
7 First Aid Kit Personal use.
8 Hiking Boots / Shoes These are much better than sneakers for hikes in rugged terrain.
Recommended aquatic shoes for water related activities.
9 Flashlight One head light and one hand held one.
10 Compass
